Jasa Raharja Gives Rp50 Million Compensation To The Heirs Of Accident Victims In Morela Country, Central Maluku

MALUKU - PT Jasa Raharja Maluku Branch handed over-compensation to the heirs of victims of traffic accidents in the country of Morela, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. The compensation money is transferred through a bank account.

Head of PT Jasa Raharja Maluku Branch, Herman Haurissa, said that after receiving information on the accident, Jasa Raharja officers and Ambon Island Police Traffic Unit and Pulau Lease Island immediately went to the crime scene to collect data on the identity of the victim and conduct a survey of the heirs.

Currently, he said, the compensation service system is technology-based and digitally integrated, so that the delivery of compensation is no longer in cash but is transferred to the beneficiary's account.

"Our officers immediately followed up on handing over the compensation transferred via bank in the amount of IDR 50 million to the heirs", he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, March 21.

This compensation is Jasa Raharja's commitment to provide basic protection for accident victims of public transport passengers, as stated in Law Number 33 of 1964 concerning the Compulsory Insurance Fund for General Passenger Accidents.

"On behalf of PT Jasa Raharja Maluku Branch, our condolences to the families of the victims who died. We hope that the bereaved families will be given the sincerity, patience, and strength", he said.

He also appealed to the public to always be careful when driving on the highway, obey traffic signs, take care of their own safety and the safety of others.
