Tragic, Hino Driver Killed By A Truck While Changing Tires On The Side Of The Tangerang - Merak Toll Road

SERANG – Three trucks were involved in an accident on the Tangerang - Merak Km 68,800A Toll Road towards Tangerang, Tuesday, March 15, at around 06.10 WIB. As a result of the incident, a driver died when he was hit by a truck while changing tires on the side of the toll road.

Dirlantas Polda Banten Kombes Pol Budi Mulyanto said the accident involved three trucks.

"The vehicles involved in the traffic accident are Mitsubishi Colt Diesel Nopol BE 8249 PF driver on behalf of Marsono (44), a resident of East Lampung, Mitsubishi Colt Diesel Nopol B 9219 CDB, driver on behalf of Fiqih Tri (25), a resident of East Lampung, and the Hino Tank car. Nopol B 9684 BFU, driver on behalf of Zahri, died, Cikande resident," explained Budi Mulyanto, based on information received by the editorial staff from the Banten Police, Tuesday, March 15.

Budi Mulyanto also explained the chronology of the accident. Budi said the victim died while changing tires on the side of the road.

"The accident occurred when the vehicle Nopol B 9219 CDB was traveling from Merak to Tangerang in the left lane. Arriving at the crime scene (TKP), the vehicle was about to change lanes, then the vehicle hit the back left of the BE 8249 PF vehicle. to the left and then hit a Hino B 9684 BFU vehicle. At that time the driver was changing tires on the shoulder of the road. As a result, Zahri's driver died," explained Budi.

Budi also said that after receiving the report, officers from the Ditlantas Polda Banten immediately processed the crime scene and evacuated the victims.

"Banten Police Ditlantas officers carried out scene work and evacuated MD victims to the Drajat Prawira Negara Serang Hospital, and the injured Hino vehicle passenger was evacuated to Sari Asih Serang Hospital. Meanwhile, the three vehicles involved in the accident are currently in the evacuation process," he said.

Budi also explained related to the investigation process of the accident.

"The investigation process will be carried out by the Banten Police Ditlantas investigator to determine the legal subject responsible for this accident," said Budi.
