Not Knowing That There Was A Pursuit Of Terrorists, Mr. Sariman Thought His Fence Had Been Hit By A Drunkard

SUKOHARJO - The story about the pursuit of Doctor Sunardi, a suspected terrorist who was shot by Densus 88 AT in Sukoharjo, still leaves many stories at the shooting location.

Sariman, a resident in the vicinity of the shooting location, said he was surprised that there was a terrorist chase in front of his house. Even Sariman panicked when the fence of his house was hit by Sunardi's doctor.

"Wednesday (March 8) at around 9 pm, I heard a loud crash in front of the house. When I got out, it turned out that a car had hit the fence," said Sariman, a retired civil servant, based on information from the Cilacap Police, Sunday, March 13.

As a result of being hit by a silver Mitsubishi Strada driven by Sunardi, part of the fence wall in Sariman's house cracked. The collision, which was thought to be quite loud, also caused his gate to fall off.

Sariman had thought that the car that hit the fence was driven by a drunkard, because the street in front of his house was often used by a number of teenagers around him.

"But later I was informed by the officers that there was a pursuit of a suspected terrorist. I knew that when I was summoned as a witness to the (Sukoharjo) police station," he added.

Several other eyewitnesses said that the pursuit of Doctor Sunardi had been carried out since his practice in Polokarto District.

The chase between doctor Sunardi and his members is like an action film on television. Sunardi was swerving his car when he was picked up by Densus 88 officers. In fact, at the time of the incident, the traffic situation on the Bekonang-Sukoharjo road was still quite busy.

A CCTV footage shows doctor Sunardi's car swerving against the direction and causing sparks on the asphalt. A number of motorcyclists who passed also seemed surprised.

But in the end, the pursuit of a high-ranking official, Hilal Amar, who is affiliated with Jamaah Islamiyah, was stopped when officers shot the man born in 1968.
