Accompanied By His Wife, The Lurah Of Sunter Agung Visits The House Of A PPSU Officer Who Drowned In Sentiong River

JAKARTA - Sunter Agung Village Head, North Jakarta, Danang Wijanarka, visited the family residence of the local sub-district Public Facilities and Infrastructure Management (PPSU) officer Edy Mulyanto (56) who was found drowned on Sunday, March 13, afternoon.

Danang came with his wife, both of them seemed saddened by the incident. He approached the deceased's wife and offered his condolences and encouragement to the bereaved family.

When met, Danang was reluctant to speculate on the chronology of the incident that happened to one of the orange troops because the police were still under investigation.

"The chronology will be after a police investigation, we will know what caused it. Meanwhile, let the police officers carry out their duties first", said Danang.

Danang said PPSU Sunter Agung officer, Edy Mulyanto, was known throughout his life as a person who was diligent in his work.

But this morning, at around 07.50 WIB, the victim was found dead in Sentiong River, to be precise in the RT17/RW03 area of Sunter Agung Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

The victims were immediately evacuated by officers from the North Jakarta City Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. and Seribu Islands Regency.

The victim was evacuated for 25 minutes with the help of a rubber boat after the team arrived at the scene at 07.50 WIB.

The picket officer of the North Jakarta Gulkarmat and Thousand Islands Sub-dept., Asinton Hutahaean, said that during the evacuation, a rescue unit with a strength of five personnel was deployed.

Five personnel who were dispatched to the location later confirmed that the condition of the victim was lifeless when he was evacuated.

"We have deployed a rescue unit with the strength of five personnel. Unfortunately, the victim is dead", he explained.
