Ganjar Asks Central Java To Have A Complete Database Of Athletes: Some Have A Very Difficult Life, We Look For Them And Thank God We Found Them

JAKARTA - Governor Ganjar Pranowo wants to have a database of all athletes in Central Java. Because, currently, data on outstanding athletes, including those who are retired, from Central Java is still lacking.

This was conveyed by Ganjar, during the virtual inauguration of the Central Java KONI management from Purwokerto, Tuesday, March 8 yesterday. He said the database would later become a reference for realizing the athlete's dream to prosper.

"Sometimes we are sad and we shed tears too. For example yesterday a friend from Jakarta told me there was an athlete in Central Java whose life was very difficult. I asked our Disporapar to look for it and Alhamdulillah, we found it. We help because he has made Central Java proud, and maybe Indonesia too," said Ganjar in his statement, Thursday, March 10.

Meanwhile, for young and active athletes, Ganjar has a dream to be able to guarantee a better future for them.

"We database those who won medals or who contributed to Central Java, for Indonesia, so that their old age can be like the medals that he got. Don't make it difficult, don't get mad," he said.

Ganjar also has a dream to realize good governance in the field of sports in Central Java. So that there are no more records of non-transparent management or misuse.

"So we once said that KONI Central Java should be the inspiration for all KONIs throughout Indonesia. How can we coordinate, as well as supervise and prevent corruption by KONI in collaboration with the KPK," said the governor in his statement.

He hopes that dream will come true in the newly appointed management. Thus, it will have an impact on Central Java's achievements.

"But in a number of big events, it turns out that we haven't been able to get into the top rankings, let alone the overall champion. Except yesterday in several competitions for people with disabilities we turned out to be far more than what we demanded. It needs to be built," he said.

For information, on that occasion the Central Java KONI management was inaugurated directly by the General Chairperson of the Central KONI Marciano Norman. Only eight people were directly appointed, namely the General Chairperson of Bona Ventura Sulistiana. Then Deputy Chair I Bambang Raharjo, Chair II Soedjatmiko, Chair III Harry Nuryanto, Chair IV Amir Machmud NS, Chair V Sudarsono, General Secretary Achmad Ris Ediyanto, and General Treasurer Prasetyo Budie Yuwono.
