GARUT - The Garut District Health Office, West Java, again gave a recommendation for permission for Face-to-face Learning (PTM) activities in schools on the condition that the capacity limit is 50 percent and must comply with health protocols.

"We have also started recommending PTMs with 50 percent capacity," said Secretary of the Garut Regency Health Office Leli Yuliani when contacted by reporters in Garut, reported by Antara, Wednesday, March 9.

He said that based on a field study, the Garut Health Office recommended PTM in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic on condition that it adhered to health protocols.

PTM permits in schools, he said, have started this week, although they are allowed, there are some schools that have not yet held PTMs.

"It's allowed to start this week, but not all schools hold PTM, it may be effective next week," he said.

He conveyed that activities at schools were safe in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, provided that they always wore masks, kept the school environment clean and kept a distance.

"God willing, it is safe as long as the prokes are still being implemented," he said.

He revealed that the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in Garut is still happening, new cases are still being found every day with numbers starting to slop.
