ASDP Adjusts Rules No Longer PCR-Antigen Ferry Travel In Java-Bali

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has adjusted the rules for ferry travel requirements in Java-Bali in line with the issuance of Circular Letter (SE) of the Ministry of Transportation No. 23 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Land Transportation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"With the issuance of the new SE above, crossing service users who have met the requirements for a complete vaccine and a third booster can cross without having to attach a negative COVID-19 result letter, both antigen and PCR," said Corporate Secretary of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). ) Shelvy Arifin quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

Shelvy quoted the statement from the Directorate General of Land Transportation in the socialization of SE No. 23 of 2022 regarding the adjustment of the rules for travel requirements in land transportation as part of the Government's efforts in handling the Covid-19 situation which is targeted to change the status from pandemic to endemic.

ASDP urges service users to continue to make online ticket reservations through Ferizy, especially on the Merak-Bakauheni and Ketapang-Gilimanuk routes.

In addition, continued Shelvy, in accordance with the directives of the Director General of Land Transportation that crossing operators must still implement strict health protocols both at the port terminal and on the ship.

"Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, ASDP has strictly followed the rules regarding the implementation of health protocols, starting from departure, en route, to arrival," he said.

In SE No. 23 of 2022 contains new provisions for travel conditions in the country using land transportation modes including crossings that apply in Java-Bali, among others: First, Domestic Travelers (PPDN) who have received a second dose of vaccination or a third dose of vaccination (booster) is not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test.

Second, PPDN that has received the first dose of vaccination is required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample is taken within 3 x 24 hours or the rapid antigen test whose sample is taken within 1 x 24 hours before departure as a condition of travel.

Third, PPDN with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent travellers from receiving vaccinations must show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample is taken within a maximum period of 3 x 24 hours or a rapid antigen test whose sample is taken within a maximum period of 1 x 24 hours before departure as a travel requirement.

The requirement is to attach a doctor's certificate from a Government Hospital stating that the person concerned has not and/or is unable to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination.

Then, PPDN under the age of 6 years can travel with a travel companion and implement strict health protocols.
