PAPUA - Eight victims of the massacre of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Jenggeran Village, Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua, were flown to their respective areas. The bodies were returned to their hometowns for burial.

Papua Police Head of Public Relations Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal said the eight bodies of the KKB victims who were workers of the East Palapa Telematics (PT PTT) tower were flown through Timika's Moses Kilangin Airport, Tuesday, March 8.

The bodies were flown after being identified at the Mimika Regional Hospital, and released with a procession of respect to the bodies of eight PTT employees as a token of appreciation for the heroes of development in Papua.

The bodies of the eight victims were evacuated through Jakarta, five bodies, namely the bodies of Syaril Nurdiansyah and the late Eko Septiansyah buried in Jakarta, the body of Bili Galdi Balion was buried in Bandung, Ibo's body was buried in Subang, and Jamaluddin's body was buried in Rangkasbitung.

Meanwhile, Bona Simanulang's body was sent to Palu, Central Sulawesi, and Bebi Tabuni's body was flown to Ilaga, Puncak Regency, said Kamal.

He added that the eight victims of the KKB massacre were evacuated Monday, March 7, after previously Saturday, March 5, the only survivor, namely Nelson Sarira, was evacuated to Timika.

The massacre carried out by KKB, Wednesday, March 2, at the PT PTT employee camp who was repairing BTS3 located in Jenggeran village, on the border between Puncak Regency and Intan Jaya Regency.
