DEPOK - The Bojongsari Police will deploy their members regarding the viral video of a man smothering a woman who was walking alone in the Bojongsari area, Depok.

"Whatever form of crime we will respond to, I will send a team to the field," said Syahroni when contacted by VOI.id, Monday, March 7.

Syahroni said that his party had yet to receive a report regarding the viral video on social media. He hopes that the people who are harmed make a report to the Bojongsari Police.

"While there is no (report) because on Saturday 5 (March) we are on standby. We have monitoring that there are submissions, there are also no reports," said Syahroni.

As is known, a viral video of a man smothering a woman in a housing estate in the Bojongsari area, Depok. The video was uploaded to the @Depok24jam Instagram account recently.

In the video, a woman can be seen walking alone at the Old Reni Jaya Housing, Pondok Petir, Bojongsari, Depok, Saturday, March 5, at 05.15 WIB.

Suddenly a man with a hat appeared and came to the woman. He smothered the victim from behind.

The woman who was shocked, immediately asked for help. In the end, the perpetrator ran away from the victim.

The narration in the video states that the perpetrator did it only out of lust because no valuables were confiscated from the victim.

"It seems that the perpetrator's motive was harassment, because the victim did not bring any valuables (cellphone or other items)," the Instagram account wrote.
