INDRAMAYU - The Resort Police (Polres) of Indramayu, West Java, arrested seven people who are a motorcycle thief syndicate who carried out their crimes at 44 crime scenes (TKP).

"What we have arrested are seven suspects from a syndicate," said Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Lukman Syarif in Indramayu, as reported by Antara, Monday, March 7.

Lukman said the seven suspects were arrested in the 2022 Jaran Lodaya Operation with the target of perpetrators of motor vehicle theft, either robbery or theft with violence or theft with weight.

According to him, the seven suspects are a syndicate, where they have their respective roles, some are as scouts, pickers, or sellers of stolen goods. The suspects, continued Lukman, had committed their crimes at 44 crime scenes spread across several sub-districts in Indramayu Regency.

"These seven thieves have acted in 44 crime scenes in Indramayu Regency," he said.

From the suspect's hands, the Indramayu Police managed to confiscate several pieces of evidence, including 30 motorbikes, eight cell phones, a T letter key, and others.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Resort Police AKP Luthfi Olot Gigantara said that based on the results of the disclosure of the case, his party confiscated 30 motorbikes which would later be returned to their owners.

"Today we handed over two motorbikes, and we immediately delivered them to the motorbike owner's house," he said.

Luthfi continued that his party welcomes people who feel their motorbikes are missing to come to the Indramayu Police Station with vehicle documents.

"We make sure everything is free, and we will continue to serve the community wholeheartedly," he said.
