JAKARTA - Security challenges throughout 2022 are expected to increase from time to time. These challenges, among others, are felt in a number of big cities, especially in Jakarta.

Therefore, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) hopes for a strong synergy between the National Police and the Indonesian National Army (TNI) in order to ensure security for all Indonesian people.

"(The security challenges) are massive here, Commander (TNI). Therefore, if we only (rely on) our strength, it will not be helped. Because the 'agenda' in 2022 is already 'lively'," said the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Mohammad Fadil Imran, in his meeting with the TNI Commander, General TNI Andika Perkasa, in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Sunday, March 6.

Regarding the police chief's statement, the TNI Commander has firmly stated his commitment to always support and assist the performance of the Police in anticipating various security challenges which are believed to be increasing in 2022.

"I will definitely support it, not only because I obey the law, but also the discipline of authority and all kinds of things that we must hold," said Andika.

On the same occasion, the Police Chief Inspector General Fadil also reported the development of the case of the stabbing of a TNI soldier to death by a number of people in Muara Baru, Penjaringan, Jakarta. Fadil said that until now there is still one of the total six perpetrators who have not been caught and the search continues.

As is known, the ranks of the TNI under the leadership of Andika Perkasa continue to maintain synergy with the National Police, especially in maintaining security and order in the country, including in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The close cooperation between the TNI and Polri can be seen not only in the various joint task forces, but also in the fields of education and training for soldiers and police, as well as in matters of leadership coordination meetings annually.
