After The Suspect Status Is Released, Nurhayati Wants To Return To Serving In The Village

CIREBON - The former treasurer or head of financial affairs (kaur) of Citemu Village, Cirebon Regency, West Java, Nurhayati admitted that she wanted to return to serving the community by becoming the administrator of Citemu Village after the cancellation of her status as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of village funds.

"Hopefully I will be accepted again to serve the community," said Nurhayati in Cirebon, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

Nurhayati hopes that the people of Citemu Village will accept their service again as village administrators and feel happy if they are allowed to serve as they used to.

However, he will wait for a decision from the Citemu Village Government regarding the certainty of whether he is required to return to being a village administrator.

Nurhayati had the status of a suspect in a village fund corruption case after reporting the alleged corruption of village funds by the former head of Citemu Supriyadi Village.

After being named a suspect by the Cirebon Police, the Citemu Village Government deactivated Nurhayati as village treasurer or Kaur so that the person concerned could focus on dealing with his legal problems.

Village Head Citemu Herintiano said his party held a meeting regarding Nurhayati's return as a member of the village board.

"Because at this time Nurhayati has just been declared free, so we will meet her first," said Herintiano.

According to him, a figure like Nurhayati is still needed to help with village government affairs.

While serving as treasurer of Citemu Village, Nurhayati uncovered a case of alleged corruption, which was carried out by the former head of Citemu Village, Supriyadi, with state losses of approximately Rp. 818 million.

Even though she had the status of a suspect in the case she had dismantled, Nurhayati was found not guilty with the issuance of a Letter of Decision on Termination of Prosecution (SKP2) by the Cirebon District Attorney.
