JAKARTA - The government has made a new policy regarding one of the requirements for domestic travelers, namely the electronic-Health Alert Card (e-HAC). This new policy is effective from March 1, 2022.

So far, e-HAC is filled after domestic travelers arrive at their destination. However, as the number of domestic air transport users increases, there have been long queues at the airport upon arrival to check e-HAC.

Therefore, the Expert Staff of the Minister of Health for Health Technology, Setiaji, said that currently domestic travelers are required to fill in the e-HAC before departure. So that there are no long queues of passengers to fill out e-HAC at the airport.

"Under the latest domestic flight regulations, passengers must fill in the e-HAC in the PeduliLindungi application before checking in at the departure airport, or the latest a day before the flight schedule", Setiaji said in his statement, Wednesday, March 2.

Setiaji asks travelers to update the PeduliLindungi application to the latest version, and pay attention to the latest rules for filling domestic e-HAC as a mandatory travel requirement during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the latest version of the PeduliLindungi application, Setiaji continued, e-HAC has a flight worthiness check feature for domestic air transportation users with a more user-friendly interface.

With this feature update, he continued, the process of checking the status of airworthiness by airport officials has changed.

"Earlier, e-HAC was checked at the arrival airport. However, based on the latest regulations, the inspection is carried out when checking in at the departure airport", explained Setiaji.

Not only for air transportation users, but Setiaji also reminded us that e-HAC must be filled in for land and sea transportation travelers.

Steps to fill in the latest e-HAC in the PeduliLindungi application:

- Download the latest version of PeduliLindungi application

- Create a new account or log in if you already have an account PeduliLindungi

- Click the "e-HAC" feature on the main page

- Select “Create e-HAC”

- Select “Domestic” for domestic travelers

- Select the means of travel "Air"

- Select the date and fill in the flight number.

- If the flight number is not found, fill in the flight data manually by selecting the name of the airline, airport of departure, and destination

- Make sure the information is correct, then click “Continue”

- Fill in "Personal Data", which can be filled in a maximum of 4 people at once

- Then you can check the eligibility to fly

- If e-HAC displays “test results not found” information, please consult the health officer or the Port Health Office (KKP) at the airport. If it displays a confirmation case (black status), e-HAC creation and the journey cannot continue

- If it is declared airworthy, select save the information you have previously filled in

- Proceed by completing a health statement and travel history.

- After that, select "confirm" and done.
