Investigating Allegations Of E-KTP Corruption, 3 Civil Servants At The Ministry Of Home Affairs Are Summoned By The KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned three civil servants (PNS) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tuesday, March 1. This summons was made to investigate a corruption case in the procurement of the electronic ID card (e-KTP) application package.

The three civil servants who were called were Achmad Purwanto, Kusmihardi, and Endah Lestari. They will be questioned by investigators.

"The three of them were called as witnesses for the suspect PST (President Director of PT Sandipala Arthapura Paulus Tanos)," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, March 1.

In addition, Ali said, investigators also summoned a retired civil servant from the Ministry of Home Affairs, namely Teguh Widiyanto. However, he did not elaborate further on the summons of the witnesses.

However, the four witnesses are suspected of knowing Paul Tanos' involvement in the corruption case.

For information, this corruption case in the procurement of e-KTP has cost the state up to Rp. 2.3 trillion when referring to the report from the Supreme Audit Agency.

This case dragged the names of a number of high-ranking officials in the ministry, such as the former Director General of Civil Registration and Civil Registration Irman and a former official at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sugiharto. In addition, there are also the names of the former Chairman of the DPR RI Setya Novanto, former member of Commission III DPR RI Fraction Hanura Miryam S Haryani, former member of Commission III DPR RI Markus Nari.

The KPK last named four new suspects in the e-KTP case in August 2020. They are former members of Commission II of the DPR RI Hanura Party Fraction Miryam S Haryani, President Director of the Republic of Indonesia Printing Company (PNRI) and Chairman of the PNRI Consortium Isnu Edhi Wijaya, Head of the Information Technology Technical Team for the Application of KTP Husni Fahmi, and President Director of PT Sandipala Arthaputra, Paulus Tanos .
