"In addition to promoting the tourism sector, we also promoted creative economic products in Belitung Regency, Belitung Island, and Bangka Belitung Province," said Sandiaga in his statement, Monday, February 28.
Sandiaga revealed that events like this can also be a momentum for the business world to invest in developing tourism potentials and the creative economy of a tourism destination.
Sandiaga invites business actors together with the central and regional governments to encourage the implementation of sports tourism-based events in various tourist destinations in Indonesia.
According to him, through sports tourism events, tourists can not only become physically healthier, but also can enjoy the natural beauty that is served from these tourist destinations.
"Through this event, there will be visits (tourists), so suddenly Belitung returns to the tourist destination map. Because they will upload content and ultimately bring benefits, for the revival of our economy," he said.
