BANJARMASIN - Chairman of the Central Governing Body of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP Hipmi) Mardani H. Maming encouraged the buffer zone of the national capital (IKN) to improve so that it can help support the progress of IKN in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

"Not only the provinces on the island of Kalimantan, but the provinces on the island of Sulawesi must also be prepared to be truly connected to the IKN center in East Kalimantan," said Mardani, quoted by Antara in Banjarmasin, Friday, February 25.

According to Mardani, areas that are close or directly connected to IKN are very profitable. Like Jakarta, the surrounding area has also developed to create satellite areas such as Banten, West Java and Lampung Province on the island of Sumatra.

"This strategic potential must really be utilized by local governments, including young entrepreneurs who are members of Hipmi, ensuring the availability of sea and air transportation accessibility," said the owner of PT Maming Six Sembilan.

Therefore, Mardani hopes that strategic infrastructure that is directly connected to IKN will become a top priority for the local government in the future.

He gave an example of an area that has the potential to develop with the presence of IKN, namely West Sulawesi, which is the gateway to the triangle connecting South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and East Kalimantan.

Mardani said the golden triangle area could develop into a new center of economic growth in the trade, service and industrial sectors that support IKN.

To encourage the economy of a region to support IKN, he added, strong entrepreneurs are needed who work for broad interests and always collaborate with the government to jointly advance the region.

As for the province in Kalimantan itself, Mardani invites young people to increase their capacity to create superior human resources.

One of them is becoming an entrepreneur to open up job opportunities for many people so that it will eventually have an impact on regional progress.

"Let's prove that Kalimantan is ready to become an IKN as President Joko Widodo wants to make Indonesia advanced, marked by the establishment of the Nusantara IKN," he said.
