JAKARTA - Chair of the Gerindra faction of the DKI DPRD, Rani Mauliani, defended the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, who was insinuated by the Chair of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.

This was in response to Prasetyo's statement that he acknowledged that Anies was a clean governor because he did not do any work.

Prasetyo also quipped Anies with the statement "becoming governor but his brain is the president". In a sense, Prasetyo assesses that Anies is not serious about working as the Governor of DKI and is busy polishing himself to become a presidential candidate.

Rani considered that Prasetyo was sarcasm at Anies because the chairman of the DPRD is a member of the PDIP faction as Anies' opposition. However, Rani asked Prasetyo to reflect on his own performance before criticizing Anies.

"This comment should also be balanced with personal work, in my opinion. So, before criticizing, we should also look inside, whether we are better," Rani told reporters, Thursday, February 24.

If Prasetyo insinuated Anies because some programs had stalled or were not implemented, Rani emphasized that it did not mean that Anies was not working.

"It doesn't mean that if there is one thing that fails, it is immediately legitimized into a complete failure in all things. What happens in DKI is indeed the responsibility of the governor, but of course all thanks to the cooperation of the ranks and all competent parties," explained Rani. , Prasetyo Edi Marsudi explained the reason he often criticized Anies while leading Jakarta. Prasetyo assessed that Anies' performance during his four-year tenure in the capital was minimal.

If there are parties who say that Anies is a clean leader, Prasetyo justifies it. However, with a note, 'clean' which is interpreted by Prasetyo, namely Anies did not carry out any meaningful development while serving as Governor of DKI.

"If you say Pak Anies Baswedan is clean? Yes, clean. People don't do anything," Prasetyo quipped on the Total Politics YouTube show.

Then, Prasetyo also regretted Anies' attitude while leading the capital. Prasetyo admitted that he often gave advice and criticism to Anies in making policies to development.

Unfortunately, according to Anies, he did not take this suggestion into consideration for the program being implemented. In fact, he said, the position of the Governor of DKI with the chairman of the DPRD is equal in the government structure.

"So, he (Anies) became governor, his brain became president. Yes, it's troublesome. I'm telling you what it is. I feel. The governor and the chairman of the DPRD are at the same level. Both are elected by the people. said Prasetyo.
