JAKARTA - The term of office of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan will end in October 2022. The position of Governor of DKI will be filled by Acting Officers until 2024, along with the Presidential and Legislative Elections.

The Chancellor of the University of Ibnu Chaldun, Musni Umar, assessed that Anies' electability would continue to climb even though he was no longer in DKI. Musni's belief refutes the predictions of several observers who say Anies is no longer popular.

"We are optimistic that Anies' electability will increase, not the other way around", said Musni in a tweet, @musniumar, quoted on Tuesday, February 22.

Musni, who often defends Anies Baswedan, believes that Anies' activities have always been a magnet for the media.

"After the governor resigns, Anies will continue to be a source of news in Media and Social Media. As a national figure, Anies' activities will continue to be covered by the media", explained Musni.

In the results of a survey conducted by the Indonesian Survey and Polling Institute or abbreviated as SPIN, Anies Baswedan's electability is superior to several names, such as Pranowo's reward.

The electability survey conducted from January 31 to February 11, 2022, recorded a margin of error or abbreviated as MoE of approximately 2.8 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent. The method used is probability sampling and multistage random sampling.

Director of SPIN Igor Dirgantara said that the electability of Anies Baswedan and Prabowo Subianto surpassed Ganjar. In fact, according to him, in August 2021, Ganjar Pranowo's electability was at 15.6 percent and fell in December 2021 to 13.1 percent.

Furthermore, Ganjar Pranowo's electability will continue to decline until February 2022.

"In February 2022, his electability (Ganjar) fell again to 12.8 percent", said Igor, Monday, February 14.
