JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (DPP KNPI) Haris Pertama hopes that the Metro Jaya Police can arrest and reveal the motives of the perpetrators of beating him at a restaurant in Jakarta, Monday, February 21 afternoon.

"I have reported this case to the Metro Jaya Police. I hope the police can arrest and reveal the motives of the perpetrators of this beating," Haris said in Jakarta.

He believes that the National Police can uncover the case because the institution has sophisticated technology to immediately arrest and reveal the perpetrators.

According to him, all evidence of the beating against him has been submitted to the Metro Jaya Police, including the post-mortem results of his injured temples as a result of the beatings.

"I do not know and am not hostile to the perpetrators. When I got out of the car at the Garuda restaurant, they immediately hit me from behind while shouting 'kill' 'die', he said.

Haris suspects that he has been followed by the alleged perpetrator since he left the house because it can be seen from the surveillance camera (CCTV) recordings in his house.

In addition, according to him, based on information from the restaurant security officer, it was stated that the alleged perpetrator had been following Haris since arriving at the restaurant.

He hopes that the incident will get the attention of the police to be investigated thoroughly because beating cases should not have occurred in the democratic era by injuring someone.

Haris admitted that he had reported the case to the Metro Jaya Police with Police Report Number: LP/B/928/II/2022/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya.
