SIAK - The Main Door Security Officer (P2U) of the Class IIB State Detention Center (Rutan) in Siak Regency, Riau, foiled an attempt to smuggle crystal methamphetamine in baby powder bottles and will send it to the prison inmates.

The drugs, said the Head of Class IIB Rutan Siak Tonggo Butarbutar, were stored in a bottle of baby powder which was found after checking through an X-ray machine.

"Unfortunately, the man who sent the goods to the FS detainees had already left," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 18.

Previously there was someone who left a gift to the main door officer. The goods were addressed to one of the inmates with the initials FS.

After being examined by officers via X-Ray, Tonggo said, a package of suspected drugs was found which was put in a bottle of baby powder.

This drug smuggling failure occurred around 11.30 WIB.

Head of the Rutan Security Unit (KPR) at the Class IIB Rutan Siak, Ralphy Prasetyo, added that his party immediately acted after officers found a package of suspected methamphetamine. The Detention Center then examined FS for initial questioning.

"In the initial examination, FS admitted that the package was indeed at his request or action," said Ralphy.

Furthermore, for further investigation, the detention center handed over FS to the Drug Investigation Unit of the Siak Resort Police along with evidence.
