BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Regional Police (Polda) appealed to the public to immediately carry out full-dose vaccinations to achieve group immunity from COVID-19 transmission.

"We urge people who have met the requirements to immediately carry out a full dose of vaccination," said Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Grand Commissioner Pol. Winardy, in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, February 16.

He said full-dose vaccination, including the first dose of vaccine, second dose, and third dose or booster.

The requirement for a person to take a booster dose vaccination must have received the first and second doses of vaccine, while the time span between the second and third doses of vaccination must be six months.

"Those who have met the requirements, namely the two-six month grace period of the vaccine, can immediately carry out the booster dose or 'booster' vaccination," he said.

Winardy said the Aceh Regional Police and staff continue to carry out vaccinations to increase communal immunity in a series of efforts to end the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regarding the daily achievements of the Aceh Police and ranks of the COVID-19 vaccine vaccination, he said, as of Tuesday (15/2) there were 56,743 people.

"This daily achievement continues to increase, along with the enthusiasm of the Acehnese people to participate in vaccinations, both the first, second, and third doses," he said.

Of the 56,743 people, he said, 19,652 people took the first dose of vaccination, while 35,471 people took the second dose and 1,620 people took the third dose.

"As for the whole, the people of Aceh who have been vaccinated have reached 3,561,866 out of the 4,028,891 vaccine targets," said Grand Commissioner Pol Winardy.
