JAKARTA - The Purbalingga Regency Government, Central Java, continues to intensify orderly operations for masks and enforcement of health protocols in order to increase public awareness and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"The Purbalingga Regency Government continues to strengthen socialization and education regarding the importance of health protocols, including carrying out supervision and orderly operation of masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially the Omicron variant," said Purbalingga Satpol PP Head Revon Haprindiat in Purbalingga, Central Java, Tuesday, February 15, quoted from Antara. .

Through the supervision and orderly operation of masks, he said, it is hoped that it will further increase public understanding and awareness about the importance of discipline in applying health protocols to protect themselves and those around them.

He gave an example of an orderly operation for masks that was just carried out on Jalan Raya Pepedan, Karangmoncol District.

Meanwhile, Head of Karangmoncol Sub-district Hendro Prasetyo added that during the orderly operation of masks and supervision of PPKM level 2 implementation on Jalan Raya Pepedan, there were 22 Karangmoncol residents who received sanctions for violating health protocols.

"Of the 22 people, most of them did not wear masks, so we gave them verbal warnings and we asked them to recite Pancasila. After that we gave them masks and asked them to wear them in a good and right way," he said.

Hendro added that the orderly operation of masks and supervision of the implementation of PPKM level 2 was carried out by joint personnel from various elements.

"Personnel from the Karangmoncol District Office together with the Satpol PP, TNI, Polri, and other elements in addition to carrying out orderly mask operations also disseminated about the importance of health protocols, such as wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds," he said.

Thus, he said, it is hoped that the spread of COVID-19 in the local area will be controlled.

"To realize this, of course, an active role for the community in the local area is needed to jointly carry out a disciplinary movement to implement health protocols because the COVID-19 pandemic has not ended," he said.
