JAKARTA - The Surakarta City Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to secure dozens of boxes containing hundreds of bottles of Ciu-type alcoholic beverages in a Toyota Kijang car number H-8657-QP. The car passed on Kiai Mojo Baturono Street, Pasar Kliwon District, Solo.

Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pasar Kliwon Sector Police seized a metallic green Kijang car carrying a ciu alcoholic drink while crossing Kiai Mojo Street, Article Kliwon Solo, on Thursday, February 3, at around 22.00 WIB.

In addition, said the Head of the Section Kliwon Section of the Surakarta Police, AKP Achmad Riedwan Prevoost, the police also arrested a Kijang car driver who was carrying the alcoholic drink with the initials T (38), a resident of Jambakan, Bayat District, Klaten Regency.

"Currently, they are being investigated at the Pasar Kliwon Police. The perpetrators have been charged with a minor crime (tipiring)", AKP Achmad said as quoted by Antara on Friday, February 4.

This disclosure began when the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit along with members of the Operational Police of Pasar Kliwon became suspicious of a metallic green Toyota Kijang car number H-8657-QP driven by T, a resident of Klaten drove from east to west on Kiai Mojo Street, Solo.

The car was seen swaying because it was suspected to be overloaded. The officer then stopped the Kijang car and inspected it.

The driver was asked to open his car door and it turned out that it contained 17 boxes suspected of containing ciu-type alcoholic beverages.

The police immediately secured the driver and the car was taken to the Pasar Kliwon Police Station.

"We secured evidence in the car. There are 24 mineral bottles measuring 1,500 milliliters containing the type of black sticky rice ciu and 180 bottles of the same size as guava klutuk ciu for a total of 204 bottles", said the police chief.

The police after collecting data and asking for information from the driver who brought the alcoholic drink will then carry out legal proceedings.
