PAPUA - A total of 18 thousand recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province have not yet been registered with vaccination recipients at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).

This was conveyed by the Head of the Jayawijaya Health Office, Willy Mambieuw. According to the plan, data in the form of population identification numbers (NIK) for vaccine recipients will be recapitulated to be submitted to the center.

"So all those who already have a NIK and have received vaccinations and are registered with the Jayawijaya Regional Government are not recorded at the center, so there is a discourse that later we will make a kind of recapitulation," he said in Wamena, Antara, Thursday, February 3.

Willy Mambieuw confirmed that he had discussed the matter with the population and civil registration services, the police, and the National Armed Forces (TNI). The results of the recap will later be signed by the regional head before being submitted to the Ministry of Health.

"We will take the data there so we can match the data on why there is such a discrepancy. But for the Piker system at Social Security Administrator (BPJS), there is no problem," he said.

He confirmed that vaccination in Jayawijaya had reached 43 percent, but according to the ministry's data, it had only reached 22 percent. This happened because 18 thousand vaccine recipients had not been entered in the ministry's data and only 70 thousand were recorded there.

"This may be because the Piker system in BPJS and the Ministry of Health is out of sync, so we will check this data," he said.

Willy Mambieuw ensures that vaccination activities will continue to be increased, starting from the community in the downtown area to the suburban districts.
