Slashing In Front Of St. Hospital Carolus Turns Out A Revenge, Perpetrator Fired From Working As A Cleaning Service

JAKARTA - The motive for the stabbing that occurred in front of the exit of St. Carolus against a motorcyclist finally managed to reveal the ranks of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Senen Police.

Senen Police Chief Commissioner Ari Susanto said his party managed to arrest two perpetrators with the initials AO and RI in two different locations. AO is known to have played a role as a stabbing victim and was arrested in the Klender area, East Jakarta. Meanwhile, RI played the role of a motorbike driver for OA's colleagues who were arrested in the Bekasi area.

"The motive for the slashing carried out by AO was a personal grudge. Because Bima (the victim) had fired AO, who worked as a cleaning service," said Police Commissioner Ari Susanto when contacted by VOI, Wednesday 2 February.

Previously, a CCTV video footage of a young man carrying a sharp weapon, a sickle type, attacked a motorcyclist on Salemba Street, Senen, Central Jakarta, viral on social media Instagram.

"We caught both the one who slashed and the friend who brought the motorbike. We caught them not far from the house of the perpetrators," he said.

The police chief further said that the victim's position was Human Resources Development (HRD).

"In terms of the perpetrator's confession, he has been working for a long time but why was he fired?" he said.

The police chief said that AO had asked his friend with the initials RI for help. The incident in the stabbing had indeed been planned by AO because he observed the time the victim returned home.

"He was already waiting, so when the victim came out, he was immediately hacked by AO. Then the RI was on the motorbike watching the incident," he said.

A piece of evidence in the crime has been secured, such as cigars, the motorbike used, and clothes covered in blood.

"We also tested their urine, both perpetrators were negative for drugs. This is a revenge motive for being fired," he said.

The two perpetrators were charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code which carries a sentence of up to 7 years in prison.
