DPR BKSAP Kutuk Serangan Israel Ke Rumah Sakit Indonesia Di Gaza
JAKARTA - The chairman of the House of Representatives' Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP), Mardani Ali Sera, strongly condemns the Israeli siege and attack on Indonesian hospitals in North Gaza. Moreover, the attack was based on allegations of a hidden Hamas fighter.
Indonesian hospitals are few of the hospitals in Gaza that are partially still functioning. The allegation that in Indonesian hospitals there were Hamas fighters who attacked Israel was a lie, aka there was no evidence," said Mardani, Friday, December 27.
The PKS politician actually suspected that Israel's attack on health facilities in the Gaza Strip was a structured, systematic, and massive (TSM) policy that was carried out in a heinous, barbaric, and inhuman manner.
According to several sources, as of November 2024, only 17 of the 36 hospitals in Gaza were still functioning. The rest were destroyed or partially functioning due to the brutal Israeli attack. This is clearly TSM," said Mardani.
"Surprisingly, the international community hasn't done much. This is clearly a very terrible terror," he added.
The Jakarta electoral district legislator also urged the global community to put pressure on Israel and immediately comply with international law.
"I urge the global community, especially the United Nations, to force Israel to comply with international law, especially Article 18 of the Hague Convention on the Law and Habits of War on Land in 1907 which prohibits attacks on hospitals, medical places, and medical personnel gathering, caring for, and evacuating injured and sick people in armed conflict," he said.

The member of Commission II of the DPR also considered that Israel's attacks on various health facilities and refugee shelters were an effort to eliminate Gazans.
"I am increasingly convinced that Israel's terror, which is far from the cosa of humanity, aims to destroy and expel Palestinians from the Gaza Strip," said Mardani.
Therefore, according to him, Indonesia must continue to seek a ceasefire, ensure the distribution of humanitarian aid, and provide safe corridors for civilians.
"As well as realizing to punish Israel at the International Court and the International Criminal Court," concluded Mardani.
