Commission III Of The House Of Representatives Is Sure That There Is No Political Interest Regarding The Determination Of Hasto, A KPK Suspect
JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR from the PKB faction, Hasbiallah Ilyas, believes that the KPK's determination of the suspect PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto is not related to political interests. Because according to him, the investigation into Hasto had been going on long before there was a change of KPK leadership.
"So far, all I know is no. What is the KPK's interest in politics?" Hasbi said when contacted, Tuesday, December 24.
Hasbi believes that the determination of the suspect by the KPK leadership for the new period must be in accordance with the existing evidence.
"Moreover, this is a new leadership, while the investigation of Mr. Hasto was the previous KPK. What has changed is only the leadership level, but the investigators are old investigators," said Hasbi.

Previously, PDIP spokesman Chico Hakim responded to the news that the PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto was a suspect by the KPK. Chico accused that the determination of the suspect status against Hasto was a legal politicization aimed at drowning the bull party.
"We see that the legal politicization is very strong, the evidence that the suspects in the CSR BI case alone can be corrected. And, if the allegations to suspect the Secretary General have been around for a long time. It is very clear that there are efforts to disrupt the PDI-P with the aim of drowning or taking over," Chico said when confirmed, Tuesday, December 24.
Chico gave an example of an attempt to politicize the law in the form of a sprindik threat to several general chairmen of other political parties. Finally, he said, the chairman of the political party gave up and followed the flow of policy.
"Only PDIP, apart from not giving up, is even harder to fight. So various pressures including the threat of imprisonment for PDIP cadres are actually energy for greater ideals, preserving the life of democracy in this country," said Chico.
