Polisi Mulai Implementasi Sistem Tunda Cegah Densitas Di Bakauheni
The South Lampung Police have started implementing a delay system or a delay system at several security posts, to unravel the density of vehicles for travelers for the Christmas and New Year holidays at Bakauheni Port.
South Lampung Police Chief, AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin said the implementation of the postponement system was to reduce the density of vehicles for prospective ship passengers who would also crossing to Java to celebrate the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.
"Given that conditions in the port area have started to get busy smoothly with regard to that, we have started to delay the system in the Bakauheni-Terbanggi toll road, precisely in 49B, 33B, 20B, and in the arterial route in front of the Gayam restaurant, we have done everything, meaning that starting last night the situation in the field was safely under control at BBJ and at Bakaheuni Port was also under control," he said in Bakauheni, Antara, Sunday, December 22.
He said this delay system was carried out situationally if traffic at Bakauheni Port was congested or queued vehicles for crossing service users.
"If the atmosphere in the port area occurs, we will also play the closure system and divert the vehicle to a parking bag in the rest area, but we also see the situation and conditions at the port," he said.
According to him, if the situation at Bakauheni Port has a buildup of homecoming vehicles, his party will also carry out traffic engineering at the port entrance area to reduce congestion.
