DWP Opens Voice Regarding Complaints From Malaysian Spectators Who Claim To Be Blackmailed By Persons

JAKARTA - The Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) made an official statement, after several audience complaints allegedly came from Malaysia on social media, which complained about an unpleasant experience while attending the DWP24 which was held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on December 13-15 last weekend.

In his statement, DWP stated that his party regretted the bad experiences that had to be experienced by the audience. They also try to solve problems and cooperate with the relevant authorities.

We hear your concerns and deeply regret the challenges and frustration you are experiencing. Although some aspects of this situation are beyond our direct control, we fully understand the impact on you," reads the official DWP statement, which was also uploaded to the recent Indonesian Music Promoter Association (APMI) account.

Your safety, welfare, and experience will always be our top priority. We are actively working with relevant government authorities and agencies to thoroughly investigate what happened and ensure concrete action is implemented to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.

The largest electronic music festival in Southeast Asia hopes that bad experiences for spectators will no longer occur. And they also hope that DWP in the coming year will still be an attraction for electronic music lovers in Southeast Asia to come to Indonesia.

"Most importantly, we hope everyone remains safe while in Indonesia. Your support, enthusiasm, and trust are very valuable in making this year's DWP a great success, and we are very grateful to all of you for being part of this DWP family, from wherever you come from."

We hope to welcome you back next year in our beloved country, Indonesia, and create more unforgettable moments together. Thank you for supporting us. From Indonesia to the World, with all our heart."

The organizers also appealed to those who have further information to report, by contacting the National Police's Public Relations Division Hotline (@divisihumaspolri)[(021) 72120599], so that aspirations can be heard and proper action can be taken.

For information, there has been a call for a boycott of the DWP on social media. The X account @Twt_Rave with the Malaysian flag on its bio profile, uploaded several confessions of Malaysian citizens who received bad treatment from elements suspected of being police.

The account also urges Malaysian citizens to prefer to attend domestic music events rather than Indonesia.

"We have many more steady events. Don't remember the existing DWP. If there is another THIRST. We also have a DWP lineup confirmation."
