BYD Dolphin Gets Updates Next Year, Take A Peek At The Changes

JAKARTA - One of BYD's best-selling electric cars, Dolphin, will get a refresher in 2025 and its changes have been revealed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT).

Quoting from the ArenaEV page, Thursday, December 12, the electric car that is already present in Indonesia will get fine exterior design improvements and a new, more powerful electric motor option.

At first glance, the exterior looks insignificant, but if you look at the details, an update occurs at the front and back, which of course makes it look more modern.

The details, on the new front light, the lower front bumper has been redesigned, and the back features a rearlight design that is revised with the "BYD" logo. A small change in the lower back bumper completes the exterior refresh.

The interesting part is that this updated Dolphin is slightly larger when compared to the previous Chinese version. Now it measures to 4,280 mm in length, 1,770 mm wide, and 1,570 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. This means the length increases by 155 mm compared to the current model sold in China.
