Bawaslu Decides Not To Hold A PSU At Pols 028 Pinang Ranti After The Voice Letter Has Been Voted

JAKARTA - A member of the DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), Quin Pegagan, said that his party decided that there would be no re-voting (PSU) at the 028 Voting Station (TPS) of Pinang Ranti Village, East Jakarta.

This is related to the violation committed by the Head of the 028 TPS Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) who deliberately voted for 19 ballots for the Jakarta cagub-cawagub pair number 3, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

"The panwas (district supervisory committee) did not recommend (for PSU). Even from the city's (bawaslu) parties, after further assessment, there was not enough element to continue the PSU level," Quin said on the sidelines of the provincial level recapitulation in Central Jakarta, Saturday, December 7, 2024.

After all, according to Quin, the deadline for implementing the PSU at the TPS has now ended today, which is 10 days after voting day on November 27, 2024.

However, Quin confirmed that the perpetrators of voting ballots, namely the Head of KPPS 028 and the 028 TPS direct security officer (pamsung) had been prosecuted by the police.

"There are allegations that the crime committed by Gakkumdu (Integrated Law Enforcement Center) continues," said Quin.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) confirmed the fraud in the Pilkada that occurred at Polling Station 028, Pinang Ranti, East Jakarta.

At least 19 ballots were found to have been cast for candidate pair number 3, Pramono-Rano Karno. One ballot has been entered into the ballot box, while the other 18 have not.

The East Jakarta KPU commissioner, Rio Verieza, in Jakarta explained the reasons for the fraud committed by the Head of KPPS Polling Station 028 with the initials RH and a Pamsung officer with the initials KN.

"Based on the confession of the Head of KPPS and Pamsung TPS officers, they did it spontaneously. The goal is that the voter participation report at the TPS is high," said Rio.

Now, Bawaslu has submitted the case file to the Police for follow-up. The submission of the case file to the East Jakarta Metro Police was carried out after collecting a number of documents related to the case.
