A 15-year-old Teenager Played, AC Milan Hasn't Forgotten To Win After Conquering Fiorentina
JAKARTA - AC Milan has not forgotten how to win. Only, Milan had to work hard before beating Fiorentina 1-0 in the Italian Serie A match at the San Siro Stadium, Sunday, November 26 in the morning WIB. In that match, Milan set a record by playing a 15-year-old teenager, Francesco Camarda.
Camarda should have appeared in the 2023 U-17 World Cup if Italy qualified for the finals in Indonesia. Unfortunately, Italy did not qualify so that Camarda did not appear in the U-17 World Cup.
Yes, Camarda was 15 years old and 260 days old when he came on as a substitute. He replaced Luka Jovic in the 83rd minute which made him the youngest player in Serie A history.
Despite playing for a few minutes, this is a valuable experience for the striker who was born on March 10, 2008. Moreover, he created history for Italian football.
Camarda himself was called by coach Stefano Pioli to join the senior team, not without reason. Milan is in a crisis because many are injured and some are suspended.
Against Fiorentina, Pioli had to lose veteran striker Oivier Giroud who underwent a two-match ban.
In addition Rafael Leao, Noah Okafor, Simon Kjaer, Ismael Bennacer, Mattia Caldara, Pierre Kalulu, Marco Sportiello and Marco Pellegrino were forced to miss injury.
There is no choice for Pioli to call Camarda for losing most of the players. However, Milan still showed their best game. Milan can still dominate when they host Fiorentina.
Winger Christan Pulisic started by threatening Fiorentina's defense in the 23rd minute but his shot was parried by goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano.
Furthermore, defender Davide Calabria should be able to break into the opponent's goal if he does not fail to welcome Tijjani Reijnders' pass.
He came close again if his cross did not hit the opposing player and turned near the goal.
The patience of Milan's players finally paid off in the first half injury time. The hosts were awarded a penalty after Theo Hernandez who met Jovic's pass was brought down by defender Fabiano Parisi.
The referee immediately pointed to the spot. Hernandez himself completed the penalty which brought Milan 1-0 up when the first half was over.
In the second half, Milan continued to put pressure on the opponent. However, their efforts were fruitless.
Jovic, who escaped from the offside trap, threatened La Viola's goal. It's just that his efforts failed.
Jovic was later replaced by Camarda. Unfortunately he could not break into the opponent's goal so the score remained 1-0 until the end of the match.
