PLN Provides Electrifying Marine Assistance For Independent Fisheries Cultivation Groups
JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan Distribution Main Units handed over "Electrifying Marine" assistance to independent fishery cultivation groups in Sebelimbangan Village, Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan. Kotabaru Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) PT PLN UID Central Kalimantan distributed assistance in the form of aerator, installation of 3,500 Volt Ampere (VA) electrical installations, shrimp seeds, fertilizers, and shrimp feed to independent farming groups.General Manager of PLN UID Central Kalimantan through Up3 Kotabaru Manager Syaifuddin confirmed in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Saturday, said the assistance was part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL). Syaifuddin said the purpose of the program was to help groups of fishermen to develop their business and become a more environmentally friendly "benchmark" business activity. "PLN encourages economic activities and carries out environmentally friendly business activities by switching from fossil fueled machines to PLN electricity through the Electrifying Marine program," Syaifuddin said, quoted by Antara. Syaifuddin said, the program, which is named "There is electricity behind shrimp", describes electricity not only as mere lighting, but can be used for shrimp cultivation which will have an impact on improving the wheels of the economy.
