Polda Metro Denies The Accuracy Of Suspect Firli Bahuri Forced: Free Of Pressure And Intimidation
Polda Metro Jaya has denied the assumption about the determination of the suspect against the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri in the alleged extortion case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak emphasized that all investigation processes were carried out professionally and transparently.
"At the same time we convey here that we guarantee that police investigators will be professional, transparent and accountable," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Friday, November 24.
In addition, it was also emphasized that in the process of investigating cases of alleged extortion until the determination of suspects, there was no form of interference or pressure whatsoever. All of them are carried out according to the rules.
"As well as being free from any form of pressure or intimidation of any influence and we ensure that the entire series of investigative activities will run professionally transparently and accountably," said Ade.
Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri's lawyer, Ian Iskandar, said that the determination of the suspect against his client was forced.
"The reason is one, it was forced. Second, the evidence they think has been confiscated, it has never been shown," said Ian.

Firli Bahuri was named a suspect based on the results of the case title conducted on Wednesday, November 22.
Several pieces of evidence that became the basis for determining the suspect, namely, foreign exchange documents worth Rp7.4 billion. Then, there were also the results of the extraction of 21 cellphones.
In the case of alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities, Firli was charged with Article 12e, 12B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code. Thus, it is threatened with life imprisonment.
