Preparation For The 2023 U-23 Asian Cup, The Indonesian National Team Will TC To Turkey

JAKARTA - Indonesia U-23 will participate in the 2023 U-23 Asian Cup which will be held in Qatar from 12 January to 10 February 2024. In preparation, the Garuda Muda Squad will undergo a training camp (TC) in Turkey.

The news was shared by the U-23 Indonesian National Team Manager, Sumardji. He reported that after Turkey the U-23 Indonesian players and officials would immediately go to Qatar, where the 2023 Asian Cup group stage was held.

"The U-23 Indonesian national team is TC in Turkey. TC in Turkey will be held from December 20, 2023 to January 6, 2024 and then departs for Qatar," Sumardji said in a statement received on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

To prepare for Qatar, Sumardji also emphasized that Shin Tae-yong's squad would not hold any agenda in Jakarta.

"Not holding a TC in Jakarta, go straight to Turkey," added Sumardji.

In the 2023 Asian Cup, Indonesia U-23 is in Group D. The Garuda Muda squad will face Iraq, Japan, and Vietnam.
