Wow! Kemenkop UKM Finds KUR Funds Used To Renovate Houses To Buy Vehicles
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) revealed a fact that the findings stated that the recipients of the People's Business Credit (KUR) did not use their funds for business needs.
The findings are based on the results of monitoring and evaluation of KUR distribution carried out by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs in 23 provinces of Indonesia involving 1,047 KUR debtors and 182 KUR distributors.
Deputy for Micro Business at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Yulius said that some KUR funds received were not fully used for business capital.
"There are some that are used for other purposes, such as house renovations, buying vehicles, and others," said Yulius in a written statement received by VOI, quoted Wednesday, November 22.
The results of monitoring and other evaluations are, there are KUR funds deposited by the bank, namely by blocking or being detained for several months as a kind of guarantee. "Then, there is a KUR debtor who when receiving his credit, it turns out that he had or was receiving another credit," said Yulius.
As a follow-up step, KUR distributors who ask for additional collateral in the KUR program with a ceiling of up to Rp. 100 million will be subject to sanctions in the form of interest subsidies or unpaid KUR margins or refunds of interest or margins that have been paid.
In addition, there is a limitation on the number of access to the Micro KUR (a ceiling above Rp. 10 million-Rp. 100 million) based on the economic sector.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
First, the production sector of agriculture, plantations, livestock, and fisheries (4P) can access KUR a maximum of four times.
Meanwhile, the non- (4P) production and trade sectors can access KUR a maximum of two times.
Meanwhile, based on data from the Program Information Unit (SIKP) until November 20, 2023, the realization of KUR distribution has only reached Rp218.40 trillion or around 73.54 percent of the target of Rp297 trillion to 3.93 million debtors.
