Regarding The Integrity Pact Of The Regent Of Sorong Winning Himself, Ganjar: Where Is Our Strength?

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Ganjar Pranowo emphasized that he did not know about the integrity pact signed by Acting Regent Sorong Yan Piet Mosso to win himself in the 2024 presidential election.

This integrity pact was widely circulated after Yan was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) for bribing officers from the Southwest Papua Province Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on Sunday night, November 12. The KPK is said to have found the document.

"I don't know yet, I don't even know that," said Ganjar to reporters at the KPU Building, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 14.

Ganjar said that if the allegations were not true, they would be immediately resolved. This is because the 2024 presidential election must run neutrally, there should be no pressure from any party.

Moreover, Ganjar felt he did not have the power to do this. "No (using pressure, ed). Where is our strength," he said.

In the circulating document, there were four points and Yan Piet Moso as Acting Regent of Sorong and West Papua Kabinda Brigadier General TNI Silaban visited. No date was listed there but the signing was made last August.

The four-point details are:

1. Fully support and implement the success of the central government program in the Sorong Regency Region;2. Will not commit criminal acts of corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN); 3. Fully reject all separatism activities and activities of the Free Papua movement in the region; 4. Ready to seek support and contribute votes in the 2024 presidential election, at least 60 percent + 1 for Ganjar Pranowo's victory as President of the Republic of Indonesia in Sorong Regency; 5. Willing to maintain complete confidentiality related to the creation of this Integrity Pact.
