Cak Imin Accuses Survey Results Only Of Public Opinion Accompaniment
JAKARTA - The candidate for vice president (readwapres) from the Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin Coalition responded to the results of various surveys showing that he and Anies Baswedan had the lowest electability compared to the two pairs of other candidates.
He accused that the various surveys could be an effort to lead public opinion regarding the winner of the upcoming 2024 presidential election (pilpres).
"Obviously, it must be (an attempt to lead public opinion)," said Cak Imin after the celebration of the 12th Anniversary of the Nasdem Party in Nasdem Tower, Jakarta, Saturday.
Not only that, several surveys have stated that the 2024 presidential election has the potential to run only one round are also considered as an effort to lead public opinion.

Previously, the survey results of several institutions such as Charta Politica and Populi Center showed that Anies-Muhaimin's (AMIN) electability was the lowest among presidential/readwapres pairs.
In a face-to-face survey conducted by Charta Politica on October 26-31, 2023, AMIN's electability was only 24.3 percent or below two other presidential/readwapres pairs. Ganjar-Mahfud's electability reached 36.8 percent and Prabowo-Gibran reached 34.7 percent.
Likewise, in the Populi Center survey conducted face-to-face from October 29 to November 5, 2023, AMIN's lowest electability between the other two pairs was 22.3 percent.
In the survey, Prabowo-Gibran's electability was superior with a value of 43.1 percent, followed by Ganjar-Mahfud electability of 23 percent.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) has received registrations for three presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
The Anies-Muhaimin pair was promoted by the NasDem Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and the Ummah Party.
The Ganjar-Mahfud pair was promoted by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the United Development Party (PPP), the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo), and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura).
Meanwhile, the Prabowo-Gibran pair was promoted by the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the Golkar Party (Golkar), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Party, the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora), the Garda Party of the Republic of Indonesia (Garuda), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), as well as the People's Fair and Prosperous Party (Prima) who did not qualify to participate in the 2024 General Election.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) has determined that the election campaign period will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024, while the voting is scheduled to be held on 14 February 2024.
