Called No Answer, 40-year-old Man Found Dead In Toren Air
JAKARTA Ifam Rahmat Hidayat (40), a water toren cleaner, was found dead. Ifam's body was found after the customer checked the roof of the house. When met, Ifam's body was already face-on with a half-flooded face in the toren. Suddenly the discovery of Ifam's body made residents on Jalan Duri Pulo, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, excited.
The incident that occurred on Friday afternoon, November 3, made local residents come to the scene. Witness Beni said the victim was a handyman who used to clean the toren. However, today, the victim admitted that his body was not fit.
"He used to short toren. The victim is also not feeling well. That's what his family said. Since 12 noon, we only realized at 4 pm. We knocked, no one answered. Just looking for someone," said Beni when met at the location, Friday, November 3.
Beni suspects that the victim ran out of oxygen while in the toren. Moreover, the victim is not fit.
"It seems that he ran out of oxygen in the toren. The problem is that he is also not feeling well. There is no electricity (electricity). From below everything has been removed," he said.
Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. officers were summoned to evacuate the victim's body from inside the toren.

South Jakarta Gulkarmat officers, Agus, said that upon arrival at the location the victim had been declared dead. This is reinforced by bleeding on his nose and his body is no longer moving.
"When he came he was dead. Then we tried to get the victim out," he said.
Agus explained that his team was forced to dismantle the toren to remove the victim's body.
"The evacuation of the toren was dismantled. Then it was removed," he said again.
The victim's body has been taken to the hospital for further action.
Pesanggrahan Police Chief Kompol Tedjo Asmoro said the victim was suspected of having a history of heart disease.
"The information (victim) has heart disease when cleaning the toren," said Tedjo when confirmed.
