Volkswagen And Vivo Build Special Laboratory For Exploration Of New Customer Experiences

JAKARTA - In order to increase the synergy between cars and smartphones, Cariad, a subsidiary of Volkswagen from China, will work closely with Vivo, one of the leading technology companies.

This collaboration aims to explore the integration between the experience of smartphones and vehicles, with the aim of providing maximum convenience for users.

Reporting from the Cnevpost page, Friday, November 3, Cariad and Vivo have established Mobile and Mobility Fusion Joint Innovative Lab (M2 Lab). This lab will focus on the latest innovations to connect mobile phones and cars to create a smooth and sustainable digital mobility experience for consumers.

This step was taken to develop software and hardware for smartly connected cars, as well as sustainable mobility services.

"As vehicle intelligence increases, the need for diverse and personal users encourages integration between smartphones and smart cars," said Sun Wei, China's chief technology officer of Cariad.

Furthermore, Sun Wei stated that through collaboration with leading local technology partners, China's Cariad will continue to improve research and development capabilities in smart connectivity, as well as integrate innovative products into the digital ecosystem.

Previously, Cariad and Vivo had launched research and development collaborations in various fields, which have resulted in a number of achievements. One of them is the creation of Gamebase, which combines the computing power and the smartphone ecosystem, as well as providing space, large screens, and air conditioning controls in the car to provide users with a deep gaming experience.

In addition, both have also created Touch&Go, a feature that allows users to access and control vehicle information from their phones through customized widget interfaces.
