Jabodebek LRT Series Enters Workshop, Ministry Of Transportation Encourages Acceleration Of Treatment Processes

The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation has asked for the maintenance of the Jabodebek LRT to be accelerated.

The Director General of Railways, Risal Wasal, apologized for the inconvenience caused by the maintenance of the Jabodebek LRT facilities.

He ensured that the Jabodebek LRT train service continued with schedule adjustments, and accelerated the maintenance of train facilities.

As for the ongoing treatment, Risal admitted that this needed to be done to ensure the safety of the Jabodebek LRT journey.

"Based on the findings of our inspectors in the field, a plot (aus) was found on certain sections of the route. We are currently conducting wheel checks and rail conditions to overcome this," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 1.

Furthermore, Risal said that DJKA had directed operators, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain services and immediately follow up on existing findings.

"With this treatment, there are 8 series of fully operational train sets, we hope that the operator can maximize the entire series," said Risal.

During the maintenance process, the Jabodebek LRT service will be adjusted to the headway (waiting time between trains), namely the peak hour on the Harjamukti/Jatimulya-Cawang (pp) route 30 minutes and the Cawang-Dukuh Atas (pp) route 15 minutes.

Selanjutnya, off-peak hour rute Harjamukti/Jatimulya-Cawang (pp) 60 menit dan rute Cawang-Dukuh Atas (pp) 30 menit.

Related to this, Risal conveyed that prospective Jabodebek LRT passengers could adjust their departure schedule.

In addition, operators are expected to be active in informing schedule changes during treatment.

"Don't cause confusion to the community," concluded Risal.
