Dozens of thugs who abused truck drivers who crossed the North Ring Road, Sukabumi Regency, West Java were arrested by the Sukabumi Police Satreskrim Resmob Team."We have arrested 15 thugs who carried out illegal charges or levies. Their targets are trucks passing through the North Ring Road, where these thugs stopped the truck and forced them to ask the driver for money," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Maruly Pardede in Sukabumi on Wednesday, November 1, quoted from Antara.The arrests of these thugs began with reports from the public who were worried about their whereabouts.So that the Sukabumi Police Satreskrim coordinates with the Cibadak and Cikembar Police to conduct raids on the whereabouts of thugs.This operation was carried out on Tuesday at around 23.00 WIB until Wednesday morning. It was these times that the thugs began to carry out their actions.The arrests of thugs were carried out in five different locations, namely around Cibadak and Cikembar sub-districts by conducting sweeps along the North Ring Road connecting Cikembar and Cibadak sub-districts.Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sukabumi Police, AKP Ali Jupri, said that the actions of the thugs by bullying the truck drivers had made the public uneasy, especially the driver. Perpetrators do not hesitate to act rudely if the victim does not want to give money.
The alleged perpetrators of this burglary are still being questioned by investigators from the Sukabumi Police Satreskrim.He emphasized that he would not give space to thugs or other criminals whose actions were disturbing and could even harm or injure others.From the results of the operation to arrest thugs, officers confiscated evidence in the form of flashlights and money allegedly from malak or illegal levies.
