Monday 30 October Munarman Freed Purely From Salemba Prison
JAKARTA - After serving a mob in Salemba Prison, former General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman was finally released from a prison cell on Monday, October 30, tomorrow. Munarman was previously convicted of terrorism.
"God willing, tomorrow morning, Monday, October 30, we will welcome H Munarman's freedom at the Salemba Prison in Jakarta. May Allah bless him," said Aziz Yanuar, Munarman's lawyer to VOI, Sunday, October 29, evening.
Aziz Yanuar said tomorrow Munarman would be released purely from alleged criminalization.
"Free from criminalization through instruments of law enforcement of terrorism," he said.
Munarman's freedom, continued Aziz, would be welcomed by hundreds of people who support Munarman.
"God willing, there will be as many as 500 people who love justice and are enemies of injustice," he said.
Aziz said his party would come around 08.00 WIB to welcome Munarman's freedom.
"In the procession of freedom, later H Munarman will convey a few broken remarks. Then we went home together," he said.
Previously, it was reported that the defendant Munarman, the former General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was sentenced to three years in prison in a case of alleged terrorism by a panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, April 6.
"The trial stated that the defendant Munarman was legally and convincingly proven to have committed a criminal act of terrorism. Sentencing the defendant in the form of a three-year prison sentence," said the panel of judges.

This sentence is as stated in Article 13 Juncto Article 7 which has been stipulated as Law Number 15 of 2003 concerning Perppu Number 1 of 2002 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism into Juncto Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning Amendments to Law 15 of 2003 concerning Stipulation of Perppu Number 1 of 2002 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism.
Then, Convicts of Terrorism Crime (Napiter) Munarman participated in the Pledge of Loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia at the Class IIA Salemba Correctional Institution (Lapas) on Tuesday afternoon, August 8.
The activity was carried out as one of the requirements to get the rights of prisoners.
"This is an activity of one of the requirements for inmates to get their rights. This activity is the result of a recommendation from BNPT, they are assessing Munarman's inmates, then they make a letter of approval for us, then we carry out this pledge from the Republic of Indonesia," said the Head of the Class IIA Salemba Prison, Yosafat Rizanto to reporters, Tuesday, August 8.
