The Inabuyer EV Expo 2023 Will Be Held Next November, Here's The Message From The Ministry Of Cooperatives And SMEs
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) supports the implementation of the 2023 Inabuyer Electric Vehicle (EV) Expo.
It is known that the event will be held by the Indonesian Electric Motorcycle Industry Association (AISMOLI) together with the Indonesian Shopping Center Retailers and Tenants Association (HIPPINDO), at the Smesco Building, Jakarta, on November 28-30, 2023.
Deputy for SMEs at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Hanung Harimba Rachman, believes that the implementation of the Inabuyer EV Expo 2023 will be able to strengthen MSMEs by building an ecosystem, as well as supporting the development of the electric motorcycle industry in the country.
Bearing in mind, this is in line with efforts to create future SMEs in the fields of Technology, Green, and creative in the automotive sector.
"The government is committed to continuing to strengthen MSMEs through developing supporting ecosystems, as well as advancing the local electric motorcycle industry to increase TKDN and production capacity," said Hanung at a press conference for the Inabuyer EV Expo 2023 at the Kemenkop UKM Building, Jakarta, Friday, October 27.
Hanung said that the Inabuyer EV Expo 2023 is in line with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Use of Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles as an operational service vehicle and/or individual vehicles for the central and regional government offices.
"I hope this partnership will be built at the same level, mutually beneficial, and beneficial between the two parties, facilitate SMEs in the main supply chain, as well as encourage technology transfer and improve the quality of SME products," he said.
He added that the Inabuyer EV Expo is expected to open up new business opportunities for MSMEs, such as as dealers, conversion workshops for public electric vehicle charging station providers (SPKLU), and other industrial component providers.
On the same occasion, Chairman of the Indonesian Electric Motorcycle Industry Association (Aismoli) Budi Setiyadi hopes that EV Expo 2023 can provide education related to electric vehicles in Indonesia.
In addition, he said, it is hoped that all parties will encourage Indonesia to become an industrial center, considering that the potential for the EV market in the country is very large.
"We are very capable of competing with overseas markets, because the industry is growing quite rapidly. Plus in the near future, there are four companies in Indonesia that are building EV battery factories in Jakarta and Semarang which have a fairly large capacity," he said.
Budi added that the use of electric motorbikes can help MSME players to increase their business reach.
Therefore, his party hopes that the Inabuyer EV Expo exhibition in collaboration with the Kemenkop UKM can encourage MSME players to be able to take advantage of the 7 million subsidy program provided by the government.
Especially, he continued, in increasing the reach of the market and it can be used further for the sake of expanding its business.
"This makes us optimistic, at least 10 thousand visitors are targeted, even more than the 20 thousand target will come at the 2023 Inabuyer EV Expo exhibition," he said.

The Inabuyer EV Expo also introduced a government subsidy program of IDR 7 million for every purchase of electric motorbikes by Indonesians who have a Population Identification Number (NIK) with a total target purchase of 200 thousand new electric motors.
The Inabuyer EV Expo 2023 event will also present a series of panel discussions with topics related to the advancement of electric vehicle technology, the latest innovations in the electric vehicle industry, as well as challenges and opportunities for local industry players.
The panel discussion will involve experts, industry stakeholders, and government representatives to share views and experiences in encouraging the growth of the electric vehicle sector in Indonesia.
