Completed Examined For 7 Hours, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri Refuses To Appear To The Public
JAKARTA - KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri has finished undergoing examination as a witness in the alleged extortion case against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL which took place at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The examination process lasted for 7 hours.
"The examination is up to 19.30 WIB, so it is less than 7 hours," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Tuesday, October 24.
Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri is said to have started an examination at around 10:00 WIB.
However, the chairman of the KPK seemed to appear to the public. Because, when the examination was completed, his figure was not seen leaving the Bareskrim Polri building.
In fact, a number of journalists have been on guard at almost all exit access to the building.
Returning to the examination process, Ade did not specify the number of questions raised by the Joint Investigation Team of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police and the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at Bareskrim Polri.
It was only conveyed that the chairman of the KPK was asked to explain the alleged extortion carried out by the KPK leadership and his meeting with Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
"There are several questions that we ask him regarding the criminal acts that we are currently investigating," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the investigation process against Firli Bahuri was carried out at the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit at the direct request of the KPK Chairman.
In the summons for examination, Firli was originally scheduled to provide information at the Polda Metro Jaya, on Tuesday, October 24.
"The chairman of the KPK RI, brother FB, asked for an examination at the Bareskrim Polri office," said Ade.
With the consideration of the interests of the investigation, Firli Bahuri's request was granted. Sehigga, the chairman of the KPK will take his statement as a witness at the Directorate of Corruption Crimes (Dittipikor) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit at around 10.00 WIB.
The request was agreed because Dittipikor was also involved in handling the alleged extortion case as an assistance team.
"Investigators who will conduct an examination of FB as the Chairman of the Indonesian KPK are joint investigators, namely the Corruption Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya and the Dittipidkor Bareskrim Polri," said Ade.
