President Instructs Regsosek Data To Be Used Optimally, Rice Food Assistance Continues Until December
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo instructed his staff to use the Socio-Economic Registration data optimally in order to provide social protection for the community.
The instruction was conveyed by President Jokowi during a limited meeting with a number of Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet who discussed the management of Regsosek data at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 24.
"Starting from regular social assistance, PKH (Family Hope Program), BPNT (Non-Cash Food Assistance) and subsidies, social security, then also this will continue to use existing data. Likewise for community empowerment in labor-intensive activities, MSMEs, and human resources, and also in social convergence," said Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto as reported by ANTARA.
Airlangga also said that the government would issue presidential instructions (inpres) to be compiled by data makers, including the Ministry of Finance and the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).
Later, the data generated by Regsosek will continue to be updated for use in social protection programs.
In addition, President Jokowi also instructed the relevant ranks to continue the implementation of food assistance programs in the form of rice until next December.

In addition, the government will also issue a policy to cover VAT on the purchase of houses or property under Rp. 2 billion.
"And this will apply 100 percent of the VAT borne by the government until June next year, after June 50 percent will be borne by the government," said Airlangga.
Meanwhile, for low-income people, the government will also provide administrative assistance.
According to Airlangga, the cost of administrative assistance including BPHTB and others reached around Rp. 13.3 million.
"And the government will contribute Rp. 4 million and this is until 2024," said Airlangga.
