Forced Pick-up Of Police Needs To Be Done, If Firli Is Absent From Today's Examination

Polda Metro Jaya was asked to take firm action if KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri did not fulfill the summons of the two investigators today, Tuesday, October 24. He was summoned in connection with the alleged extortion by the KPK leadership against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

"Investigators should consider forced efforts or arrests," said former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan to reporters quoted on Tuesday, October 24.

Novel also highlighted Firli's whereabouts, which were never seen after he was summoned by Polda Metro Jaya investigators. Although the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron Firli, said that the former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK could have run away.

"So, action must be taken to investigate the alleged extortion. Yes, it is very likely that Firli will run away," he said.

As previously reported, Nurul Ghufron said Firli Bahuri could not fulfill the summons of the Polda Metro Jaya because there was another agenda and was still studying the examination material. In addition, a new summons was received on Thursday, October 19.

The case of alleged extortion or acceptance of gratuities by the KPK leadership against Syahrul Yasin Limpo began when Polda Metro Jaya received a complaint on August 12, 2023.

Then the collection of information materials (pulbaket) was carried out by the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya based on a letter issued on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

Not long after, the police issued an investigation warrant on August 21. A number of people were questioned, including Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

After the series of investigations were completed, investigators carried out a case title. As a result, a criminal element was found so that the status of the case was upgraded to the investigation stage.
