PKS Calls The History Of The Political Dynasty Will Soon Be Disbursed And Expired
JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) said that the history of political dynasties will automatically fade and disappear in the democratic system in Indonesia."This political institution will run out of history, yes, this change will pounce on all predatory things," said Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi when giving a press statement at the PKS DPP, Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, October 22.According to him, the history of political dynasties played by arbitrary authorities is no longer interesting to use in today's political world."It's not interesting, it's been through his history. The political dynasty will fade, the time of the wave will come, and the wave of victory with change," he said.Aboe Bakar said that currently the public is smart enough to determine which is the best to be elected president and vice president who will lead this nation in the next 5 years. He then gave an example during the registration of the presidential/vice-presidential candidate pair promoted by the Change Coalition, Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar, the number of people guarding the Indonesian KPU was more than targeted."Yes, it's just like this, did we invite yesterday's registration event? Nothing, just announced, yes. However, those who came were our targets of 20,000 people, it felt more like it," he said. This situation, he said, shows that the Indonesian people are now quite intelligent, and are not easily influenced by the existence of political dynasties.News of political dynasties resurfaced after the decision of the Constitutional Court granted part of the judicial review request of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections.
After the Constitutional Court's decision, Article 169 letter q of Law Number 7 of 2017 fully reads: "It is at least 40 (fourty) years old or has been / is currently in the position elected through the general election, including regional head elections."
