Yenny Wahid: Gusdurian Supports Presidential Candidates Close To Gus Dur
The daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia KH Abdurrahman Wahid, Yenny Wahid, stated that she would reveal the direction of support for the ranks of Gus Dur or Gusdurian cadres in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) after the entire presidential candidate announced that she would be her vice presidential candidate. Yenny was met during the commemoration of National Santri Day at the Surabaya Heroes Monument, East Java, saying that the vice presidential candidate would be important in determining the direction of support in the 2024 presidential election. "We are waiting for an official announcement first, only to show the official attitude of the ranks of Gus Dur cadres. The cawapres factor is a very important consideration," Yenny said, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, October 22. When asked about the characteristics of the candidate pair who will be the vice presidential candidate who will be supported, Yenny stated that she would support the candidate who previously had a close relationship with Gus Dur's family. "The electoral candidate (KPU) RI, the registration of the presidential candidate and vice president candidate is scheduled to start from October 19 to November 25, 2023.
