Paired With Ganjar, Mahfud MD Thanks Jokowi For Being Trusted To Be The Coordinating Minister For Politics And Security

JAKARTA-Mahfud MD emphasized that so far he had never joined the supports in the politics of the presidential and vice presidential candidates because he was still carrying out the mandate as the Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security. He wanted to ensure that all processes towards the 2024 election were running safely, smoothly and orderly.

With the mandate given by PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri as Vice Presidential Candidate for Ganjar, Mahfud ensured himself to dedicate himself, abilities, experience and courage to Indonesia.

"Together with Mr. Ganjar I will dedicate myself, all my abilities, my knowledge, my experience, firmness and determination of my attitude, as well as the courage that I have been trying to always be shown to the nation and state of Indonesia," said Mahfud MD at the DPP PDIP, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 18.

In this moment, Mahfud also thanked President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for providing the opportunity so far to serve the nation and state.

"Of course I also thank President Joko Widodo for giving me the opportunity so far to serve the government freely so that I can participate in building the nation and state. God willing, with the blessing of Allah SWT, our steps in realizing Indonesia's inside and out, fair and prosperous, will get a path that is qobul," said Mahfud.

Chairperson of PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri announced the Coordinating Minister for Political Legal and Security Affairs (Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security) Mahfud MD as a vice presidential candidate (vice president) Assistant Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential Election.

She said this figure was not a stranger because he both had served in the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP).

"He was once a member of the Board of Trustees at the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency. So I can, very able to understand from the way of thinking, the way her mind," said Megawati at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 18.

In addition, Mahfud was also called a figure who was intellectual by Megawati. "I pay attention to his knowledge in the legal issues suitable, very full of experience and knowledge," said the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.
